Our first annual event was a huge success!

Over 1,000 participants!

Please join us March 26, 2011 for our second annual event!

Mesa United Way's 2010 LIVE UNITEDTM Walk United event asked Mesa Educators to teach a lesson in civic responsibility.

In addition to the proceeds of the LIVE UNITEDTM Walk United event being split with a Mesa school, one of our Corporate Cornerstone companies provided a $300 cash prize to the winning student and teacher for the best picture or essay example of being a civic responsible Mesa citizen.

We asked Mesa Educators to teach a Civic Lesson: Why it is important to be involved in your community to their classes, then have the students interpret the lesson in picture or essay form.  Winners will be chosen from each of the following:

Best picture drawn by a student up to the 3rd grade.  Best essay written by a student from 4th to 8th grade, 9th to 10th grade, and 11th to 12th grade.

Over 175 art work and 224 essays were submitted by students throughout Mesa.
