Yvonne was born and raised in the Detroit, Mich., area and relocated to Mesa in the early 1970s. She owned and operated a successful Independent Insurance agency for many years before selling it and going into business with her husband. Rather than retire, Yvonne is working at Mesa United Way as an Americorps/VISTA volunteer in addition to going to school full -time.

Bob retired in January 2010 from a 40-year journalism career in Arizona, including Southeast Valley Editorial Page Editor of The Arizona Republic. He and his wife Sue have raised four children, all still living in the Valley, and have six grandchildren. Besides handling publicity and the website for Mesa United Way, Bob also does volunteer work at a local charter school.

Annalisa was born and raised in the Valley of the Sun and recently graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. She is a member of Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (American Humanics) where she served as Public Relations Chair and Recruitment Chair. She is also a member of the Nonprofit Leadership and Management Student Association and held a position as Director of Activities. She is passionate about leaving a positive imprint in this world and giving back to the community. Her favorite quote is, “Time is of the essence. Let’s make a difference!”
