city guy2WHO WE ARE

Every community wants a safe place for children to play and the knowledge that our most vulnerable residents won't go to bed hungry, cold, afraid, or without shelter. Mesa United Way's goal is to ensure a local safety net of core services for children, the disabled, elderly, and those experiencing unforeseen hardships. Our services range from after-school programs to children's shelters, food banks, and more. The programs we fund create the fabric of a healthy and livable community.

WHAT WE DO

Contributions are invested carefully in programs proven to work. Mesa United Way focuses on four areas of need:

Basic Needs:

Ensuring hungry families receive food boxes, children are clothed and fed, and abused women and children find a shelter safe from violence.

Education:

Ensuring Mesa youth develop important social and educational skills through quality after-school services, mentoring programs, parenting skills, and leadership training.

Health:

Providing the tools - physical and emotional therapy, technology and  job training - for children and families with special needs to lead independent, productive and meaningful lives.

Self-Reliance:

Allowing the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and families experiencing economic hardship to maintain as much self-sufficiency as possible.
